mount hi-lift?

when putting on the new stabilizer, do you leave the piston compressed all the way or extend it at all?

I'm assuming that the Jeep didn't already have one here...

You'll have to extend it somewhat ( half way out with the wheels straight ), 'cause if you mounted it fully compressed, you wouldn't be able to turn the wheel in the direction the end is mounted. There is some room for error, just make sure it has enough extension/compression to move the wheel lock to lock. If need be adjusting it shoud be easy enough.

If it is a replacement, just extend it till the holes line up and bolt it in, it should be good to go.
