1996 jeep grand Cherokee awd transmission

Does anyone know how much atf my transmission need to be at propper levels? My chiltons manual does not say specifically and I have had 3 different parts stores tell me 3 different amounts of fluid for my trans. Any help would me very appreciated.

If you removed your trans. oil pan and replaced the filter, it usually takes 5qts of ATF. Idle the engine till normal operating temperature then re-check the level. It should be at the mid to full cross hatch of the dipstick indicator.
