ok, so my second leaf spring still hasent come in (its still at the ups place in ga, im in md..) and im getting ancy and i wanna work on my jeep...so i was thinking, would it hurt if i did the shocks first and when the next leaf spring comes in i just do the springs or would that be a bad idea?

You should be able to do the shocks. They may a bit long for stock springs, and could possibly bottom out on a hard bump. That would not be healthy for them so if you do them beforehand then drive easy.
