4x4 light?

I recently swapped t/cs and now the 4x4 light comes on when i shift into reverse?, and not when im in 4x4:???:. There is only one plug on the t/c and only one way it can go right? anybody ever had this prob or no how to fix it? thanks

Check the Black and red wire to the switch. it sounds like its finding a path to ground. Disconnect the 4wd wire from the sensor and see if the 4wd lamp still turns on , in the reverse position.

The reverse light switch and transfer (4X4) switch aren't the same style plug are they? Is there any way they could have been swapped? Best of luck - John
