Looking to paint my rims.

I have been doing a lot of research and have decided to paint my rims flat black (probably Bed liner) but have a few more last questions.

Should I take my wheels off the jeep? I mean if I paint lightly how bad are the chances of dripage? And if I do have to take them off, should I remove the tires? I've seen pictures of this done all sorts of ways and I'm interested in the easiest and fastest but I don't want it to look bad. Any expiereience and opinion is appreciated. And if there is a right up could someone point me to it. I couldn't find one but ya never know.

When I did mine, I took the wheels off, but not the tires. I just taped some newspaper under the lip of the rim to stop anything from getting on the tire.

Just got my new steel rims and sent them out to have the paint sandblasted and then powder coat the rooms. Why powder coat? Because it outlasts the paint. In your case, take the wheels off and tape the tires off... That is what I will do.

and flat is not going to look as good as satin black.
