dana 60 light weight

Hi i'd like to buy a dana 60 front with this configuration : high pinion, 4,56 gears, ARB air lock, 35 spline inner an outer shaft, big and stong knuckle ( like F-450) possibly high steering, , manual hubs ( Warn premium, or..???), 1310 U-bolt. The possibility on the market are Dynatrac Pro Rock 60 or Currie Aluminium Rock Jock 60 that is better for lightweight. Do you know others ? I heard of drivetrainspecialists.com...??? Thanks a lot

I like what you are saying. There are several companies out there doing these. You can probably find more info and people running them on Pirate4x4.
Obviously that is going to be an expensive axle. The good news is that the Euro to dollar exchange will help you out. The bad news is that shipping to Italy is going to eat up any savings and then some.
Keep us posted.

1310 U-bolt.

you serious or is this a mis-type?

Stock 94 and up YJ't and TJ's have 1330.

To make lift a lot easier, Simply look for any Dana 60 from a 75-87 Chevy or 78-86 ford, the chevy will be a pass drop and lo pinion, but a little less $$ if you go with the chevy, the least expensive way to get a drive shaft to it is to swap in a D300, you will be getting a arguably better Tcase (gears as opposed to chain)

I look at Craigslist and ebay, best deals are found in junk yards. My friend and I pulled 2 D60s one from a 78 F250 Sno commander and one from a 79 F350. $200 for the pair.

Correction, some YJ's have a 1330 in the rear shaft. Nothing else. Besides, a 1330 is just a 1310 with a longer trunion, not larger. This actually makes it weaker as the moment applied at the intersections of the trunion are magnified because of the increased moment arm.

Also, old boy is in Europe, have fun with Craigslist there.

doc1, Solid Axle is another very good custom axle manufacturer.

If you want light, go with the Alum center, otherwise just go with who ever is the best priced and has the components you want.

There is Craigslist in Europe... I am always search in Germany for women looking to have a good time.

or maybe not..

pre 94 had 1310 all around, 94 and after had 1330 on the rear only, I should have added it, I was trying to make the point that if he is going to look for a stout unit such as that, why put a 1310 joint at the pinion. Either he obviously want to know exactly where the weak point is, or... It was a mis type. I am venturing to guess that it was the latter.

It is a mis.type. I mean 1310 ot 1350 yoke. For U-bolt i use CTM in my front dana 44 and are great so i'll use it in 60 too. Can you tell me witch factory to contact for make a 60 as my wishes. Thanks

I believe Spidertrax will build you one with all the latest goodies...Custom knuckles, F450 unit bearings, alloy shafts, up to 60 degree steering, custom lightweight housing with Ford 9" center section (True Hi9 if you want a high pinion), ultralight vented rotors and alloy calipers:

Where do you live in Italy? I will send you one of these axles in exchange for a Ferrari. Even better, you could export a couple of Defender 110's and buy just about whatever you want for your Jeep. I have heard that there are only 300 or so D110's in the U.S.
