I have a 2007 Jeep Wrangler Unlimited that has a button that says Uconnect. Is it difficult to add that feature to my stereo?

I have the same thing in my 2010 Grand Cherokee and wanted it installed to use the stereo bluetooth feature. The dealer quoted me $500 for the connection plus the additional microphone needed. I decided my earpiece was good enough. If you hear of another cheaper way to get the connection. Please let me know!

Adding the hardware for the u-connect is fairly easy including the microphone from Mopar. The dealer must add the sales code on the build code of the vin# and then reprogram the central gateway of the vehicles computer. After that, the service tech would need to re-configure the network and enable the hands free module.
