Good morning, all. 06 TJ X.... This Jeep still has the factory audio system in it. When I turn the ignition, I hear a "pop" come from the speaker over the passenger seat. Is this a symptom of an electrical issue?

Only on one speaker? and does it do it with the radio in the off position?

Could just be a blown speaker if it's only coming from that 1 speaker.
Try swapping the rear speakers side to side to see if it continues.

Yup, just the one speaker. I turned the radio off and it did not do. So, does that just mean the speaker is blown?

Possibly.. One way to verify is to swap the speaker on the other side and see if the issue moves with the speaker. If not, the problem is in the wiring or the main radio unit amp.

replaced the factory unit with an aftermarket one and the problem seems to be resolved. Thanks for everything!
