I am struggling with whether to go 360 or 304. There are a couple 304. locally and all the 360s are farther than I want to travel. At this moment, I am waiting to see if another 360 pops up in the area.

Funny you mention the snow on your seat... We just had 3 consecutive days of rain and my 79 was in my driveway with no top on(top stays off all summer, period). The water drains right out the holes in the floorboard, but I sat in a pretty wet seat last night to pick up some chinese food!!!

It is not looking so good, my buddy said the trans in his truck is shifting hard. I didn't even ask him to borrow it because I don't want to be responsible if it breaks. If something comes changes, I'll let you know.

The 360 engine sounds good, even with that hesitation. I'll give it some thought, it seems very worth it if I can borrow a pickup truck from my friend, again. I would have to use my CJ5 and trailer otherwise. Unfortunately that puts me at 10mpg for roughly 500miles one way.

What do you know about the engine? Burn any oil or make strange noises? I am very interested if you are not too far from Chicago, IL

There is no way that no one has 304 parts sitting around. Please? anyone?
