New jeep owner

Just bought a 1994 wrangler...it does not shift into gear easily. What could be the problem?

Welcome to the Z. I recommend changing the gear oil in the transmission if shifting is notchy between every gear. Use a quality synthetic like Redline MT90 for smoother shifting.

Welcome to Jeepz. You could be low on clutch fluid, or slave cylinder may be going out.

I tried that. It didn't work.

I replaced the slave cylinder today and changed the fluid. Neither fixed the issue.
