    Ford 302 conversion?

I thought of something else. The motor mounts are fine, but if you have a serious amount of power and are in low range you can brake the bolts that hold them to the motor. Like in this picture So when I pulled the motor to rebuild it I added a gusset in between the under side of the mounts as...

    Ford 302 conversion?

This will depend on the axles that you are running and the placement of the motor in the frame. The advance adapter mounts are set up to be welded on, but I drilled the holes that were in the frame of the original motor mounts for the previous engine. What I did was get the engine hanging in...

    Ford 302 conversion?

What do you want to know? I have a 5.0 out of a 91 in my 80 with a t-176 and a dana 300. Does the t-150 have the butterfly pattern? I do not remember. If it does use a ford bell housing, ford pressure plate, ford flywheel, and a Chevy clutch disk (to match spline count on trans). Motor mounts...

    Restoring my CJ7

If your CJ was like mine when I started, you will want to get a replacement wire harness. Most previous owners have not been so nice to the wiring to most Jeeps. It saved me a lot of nightmares by getting a new one from Painless through Quadratec. As far as being able to do it yourself, there...

Is it my clutch of my transmision???

It depend on the engine you are running or plan to run in the future. If you are running a 6 then you should have no problem, but if you plan on upgrading to a v-8 I would stick with what you have. I pulled my t-5 out (still have it if you are interested) and replaced it with a t176, which...

    New one piece axles

This is a problem with the 20 axle, if it is wheeled hard. I welded the housing and the tubes together when I install the one piece shafts in my narrow trac. I had no problem running 33 for a the two or three years that I ran the axle. I have since switched to a ford 9", but only because I...

New to forum not to Jeeps

Good news!! It was the battery. Stupid things. After I replaced it with a new one it fired right up with out any hesitation at all. I just have a couple of minor issues to tie up and I am ready for the summer. :driving-g:D

    Anyone made a homemade Bikini?

That was funny! Anyway I was thinking about doing this too, because no one makes a bikini top that fits from a YJ cage to a CJ windshield. They all seem to use the YJ side post that go from the windshield to the cage for support. Since I do not use them, I am out of luck with buying one.
