I have a 4,000 lb aftermarket tow-hitch on mine and have towed at least 3500 lbs. It's a Reese hitch and my jeep is an almost stock 2002 "X" 4.0. So, yes would be the answer, but you wouldn't want to go with much more weight behind you...

Considering going with some Smitty-built tube fenders. Does anyone have an opinion either way? I've heard bad stuff and "meh" stuff about Smitty-built quality. Thanks! Shiftclick

Yeah, and I think that 33's will be about the max you want to put your stock TJ axles through. 35's will kill them! Of course, i'm one to talk with 3.25", 31's and stock axles... :lol:
