    cj vs wrangler

I'm not an expert so I'm sure someone will correct me if I'm wrong, but I don't believe they'll fit as a "direct bolt up". CJ' s and YJ's (1995 down) are pretty compatable as far as hard top and doors, but not the TJ's ('97-'06). But of course, anything can be made to fit anything, just a matter...

    88 YJ Oil Pressure Gauge

Might want to check the sending unit. Wife's '94 yj had the same problem. When the diaphram in the sending unit went, left an ocean of oil in a WalMart parking lot. Took 4 quarts to get it home (10 miles + or -). Cheaper than a new gauge.

    my jeep

Just means getting the fuel from the tank to the combustion chamber (piston). Fuel pump, fuel lines, injectors, etc. What I meant was you can pretty much elimate getting spark.

Well, that pretty much narrows it down to a fuel delivery problem at least. Should get you on the right track.

Toddler Crashes Jeep, Runs Home to Watch Cartoons

I'm wondering how he steered it with no PS??? And, thankfully, it was a YJ and didn't have those damn airbags! The airbag deploying probably would've killed him.

    got a new jeep

And that's the bottom line!! ZJ's aren't my cup o' tea, especially 2WD, but you got a really good price and that thing ain't for ME so all is good!! Hope he enjoys it for a long, long time. You're a good dad!

    4wd light

Is it in 4wd when the light is on (easy to tell, just make a turn or two on dry pavement)? And is it in 4wd when the shifter says it is? That may determine whether it is just an electrical issue or not.

Rumor Mill - VW may buy Fiat (and Jeep)

VW sits better with me than Fiat, but I really wish Jeep could break away as an independent brand, though I know that will never happen. Still anxiously waiting for the Gladiator

    96 Grand Cherokee 5.2 L SOS!!!

:agree: Sounds like a problem with either driveshaft imbalance (a good shop can fix that) or u-joint, slip yoke problems. If you're anywhere near Asheville, NC, there's a great shop there that can straighten you out. Can't think of the name at the moment, but if the distance is good, pm me and...

    The wave

I've noticed that since Jeep decided to offer a 2wd version (2007.....the JK's....the Hummer wanna be's), waves have gone down considerably. I still get waves here 'cause that's just what people do.......except the out of staters (tourists). But I have definitely noticed a diminishing of the...

    Just seein what's up!

Welcome to the Z! For 10 grand you can get a nice TJ, a pristine XJ (Cherokee), or a very good YJ (square headlights) with money to spare (for goodies!). I wanted a Jeep since I was 16 years old and didn't get one 'til I was 50  so, as Nike says, JUST DO IT!!!

    new member first jeep, advice?

Welcome to the Z! Number one would be tires! Jeeps are very capable out of the box, but a good set of tires helps just that much more. If you want to go bigger, that's when the wallet opens.......one thing leads to another!! Also might want to read up/talk to experienced folks about technique! A...

    2000 Jeep Wrangler 4.0 / 6 cyl Auto

Ok....had enough of this. Your original post was titled "2000 Jeep Wrangler...." and then the text of your post said "2000 Jeep Cherokee...." ?!?! Which is it? Different animals. And then you dis'd Bounty Hunter. Not good. Bounty probably has forgotten more than I know about Jeeps. Then you...
