I have a 1956 CJ5 for sale in Columbus, GA. It is in good running condition. It has the original hurricane 4 engine with 3 speed. 4x4 works well and jeep droves well. Items recently replaced or rebuilt:

New solex carb
All new drum brakes
New exhaust
New optima red top battery
New brake master cylinder
New wheels and tires
Re wired everything
Both differentials rebuilt

I drive the jeep every weekend and it tops out at about 45 mph. I have a black bikini top and it has a roll bar. Email or text for pictures. I can't upload any with the iPad for some reason. Asking $4500 obo. Ianahearn85@yahoo.com or (347) 882-7610

Forgot to mention that I recently replaced the entire fuel system. New plastic fuel tank, new lines, new filter, new electric pump.

Thanks! I love it! I'm having second thoughts. I don't think I can part with her. I think I will continue to empty my pockets for ye ole CJ. :)

Yes it's fully road worthy and legal. It is registered in GA. No longer for sale. Had a change of heart. I'm doing a full restoration.

I saw the pics and all you had done to it and started sniffling a little bc I didn't have the money to buy it.... I am glad you are able to keep it, in the future if you wanna get rid of it let me know I have a nice garage to store it in for the winter and the summer it may take me a while to get to work but it would get me there in style.

I am glad you are keeping it. If I had an old jeep like that, I would try and keep it also. I tried to keep my 65 mustang way longer then I should have

Ok so I made some further progress yesterday on the disassembly. Removed the following items:
Both drive shafts
Brake master cylinder
Brake lines
Clutch
Wheels
Exhaust manifold
Shocks
Steering parts

I unbolted the transfer case and transmission from the engine but cannot get the two to come apart. Tree are no more bolts holding them to each other or to the frame. Any ideas out there on how to get them apart?
