:???: I have a 1994 Jeep Wrangler S, 4 cylinder, manual. It is currently in 4H. It will not shift to 2H. Any ideas? Thanks, Marty

A member here once advised to shift the veh. in reverse and drive it for about 20-30 feet then shift the T.Case to your desired position.

Chock the tires, jeep in neutral, remove the transfer case linkage from the transfer case (one 9/16" nut). Then shift the transfer case by using a 7/16" or 3/8" box end wrench on the transfer case shift rod that comes out of the transfer case.

If it shifts okay manually using this technique, reconnect the shift linkage and adjust as necessary.

Also drain and inspect the fluid.
