Does anybody out there have any ideas for some power upgrades for a 2.5 fuel injected motor. I can't afford a motor swap, so I figure it is the next best thing to do. [addsig]

Dude Why would you even want to swap motors? The High Output 2.5 L little big motor is all you need. It's a Jeep and it has 4 lo if you need it and it will seem like a 425 Cat as far as power goes if you use like it was designed to be used. It will never be a dragster, sports car but in the woods it is a little champ. Enough power while not being to much. Less chace of breaking drive train parts, Ez on the gas, Great Torque, Ez to work on and cheap to keep running. V8 cool I6 cool 4 banger cool. All have the up and down side.

Open up the air flow, let the little bugger breath. Get rid of the cat and stock muffler and add a K&N or other good breather. Add a Flow master or glaspack or dynaflo exaust. This will do as much or more than most anything else. Header would be nice.

Give the little fellow a chance and enjoy the ride. Check out 4 Bangers Page For more information than I can provide. Good Luck and learn to love the 4 banger. Tug :-D [addsig]

Hey Tug. I actually like my 2.5. But I don't really find it all that great on fuel. I have opend the air breather up, and it has made a little diiference. As for the cat. It is already gone. But here's the catch, in Nova Scotia any vehicle from the year 1991 and up has to have a cat on it. I have gotten away with it now for 2 years, but they caught up to me. My inspection is up this month, and it's not gonna pass.
