2" receiver fit.

OK, I put a 2" receiver on the rear of my CJ just to be able to have a rear tow point (D-Ring). For Xmas, I got a very nice bike rack that mounts in the receiver. However, the bike rack is very loose in the receiver and bounces around a lot on the road.

Has anyone run into something like this? Is there anything typically to do to make an end a little more stable in the receiver?

Thanks,

X

Electrical tape around the shaft before you put it in the reciever is a quick fix.

Most folk I've talked to use either duct tape or exhaust tape (the aluminum tape). Duct tape is cheaper but doesn't hold up as long. It's normal for a receiver to be that loose. If it were a solid connection, you'd never get it back out after a few days of road grit and sand getting in it.
