I'm trying to locate the paint code for my 85 AMC XJ and can't seem to find it. According to various information I've found it's supposed to be under the hood, on the drivers side near the fire wall at the back of the engine compartment. I'm not seeing it. I found a tag on the front of the engine compartment near the radiator, drivers side...but, this does not seem to have what I need. Would anyone happen to know where I can find it for sure? I have a tag on my door that gives various information, but...it's not readable.
Any help would be appreciated.
