AGR Super Box and Pump

Was going to replace my steering shaft and box. Do you think it would be worth it to upgrade to the Super box? Or should I just go stock? Or is there another source for a slightly better than stock power steering pump?

Testing the HTML feature....

A local Jeeper put the whole AGR setup on his Scrambler. He used the "quick" box with the faster gear ratio, and he didn't really like it. Said he would rather have the factory gearing. I never drove it, but he said with the SOA and mud tires it was dangerous on the highway. Too quick, it made the steering really twitchy and overly sensitive at higher speeds.

I got a super box 2 and pump a couple years ago and I really like it. I've seen several people who say you don't really have to upgrade the factory pump, but don't know how well that would work; guess it would be worth trying. Jeep steers much easier and is much more responsive. I got the highway box (super box 2) so it doesn't give me any problems on the road (or off).

But for the price why not, an extra $100 for the up grade, I am planning on doing it but waiting for my steering box to be completely incompasitated! the factory replacement is $250 or somethign like that and the Super box set up in only a $100 more. I would not get the quick ratio though, Junkpile, I have a fellow club member who has the same issue as your friend. ended up withthe redneck rock ram hydrolic steering.
