OK everyone I kow that I have sean this done somewhere but am having trouble finding the right product. What i want to do is paint my exixting nonclearcoated Aluminum wheels black. My thoughts where that I would have to clean any oil, brakedust, ect.. off the wheels. Then Scuff them so the material would have something to hold onto good.

But the product that i want is the stuff that kinda makes it look like the wheels where anadized other than just shot with a spray can. Does anyone know of this stuff or am i just pulling this out if my a*@

First off, hello fellow Ohioan..

I've painted aluminum wheels before. Your best bet is to sandblast the wheels to get the best adhesion. That's what I did to an old set of 5 spoke Wrangler/Cherokee wheels. I used XO-Rust, it penetrated the aluminum, and stuck like glue. They looked great afterwards. I know which paint you're talking about. It's called Dupli-Color Metalcast, see the links below:

I used VHT coatings' polyurethane wheel paint on a set of YJ aluminum wheels. They turned out great and held up well.
