hey everybody.my cj hasn't beat me yet.i'm still plugging away at it.about 8'' of frame on the driver side rear was rusted out.i cut it off to replace with new steel.whats the best way to weld it on and brace it up to keep it strong.again thanks to all and this site.

not quite sure what your asking but if i think i know what im responding to, then take some 3/8" plate and weld lap it about 9 inches on either side of the joint and weld it up on the tall sides of the frame

It is called fish plating that is the accepted way of re-joining frame sections.
But first grind a 45 degree chamfer on both frame sections and butt weld them together, then only grind flat where the fish plates are going to over-lay the butt weld.
