i got a cj5 with some 33's and my brakes are kind of spongee.I remembered a while back someone said to use a TJ or a Wrangler brake booster. Not 100% sure if im on track with this so any help will be greatly appreciated. Thanks

I think people have said to use a master cylinder out of a van of some kind, I believe Ford. Try searching for that...

That is a mod common to One Ton axle swaps. If you are running the stock brakes, the master cylinder should not have a problem if all things are in the proper working order.
You might want to try bleeding and possibly changing the brake fluid. Did the drums/wheel cylinders and the rotors/calipers check out ok?

i have a 74 Cj5 and i had to take mine out of another Cj i found at junkyard but i also went from drum brakes all around to the 77 axels with disk brakes up front

My breaks in the front are disk brakes and the back ones are drums, and they all are in good shape.I think it is the master cylinder that i should upgrade not sure which one.I think it is from a newer jeep. Thanks for all the help
