chrysler 5.2 bolt to jeep 904/999 auto ?

my hustband has a cj and was currious after installing a 904/999 auto to his d300 if a dodge 5.2 liter out of a 95 ram would bolt to the 904/999.?? guess i should contact the admin, he tried to register as a newbie and can't log in.. anyone have any idea about the above?

I don't think so. The 5.2 has the Chrysler bolt pattern and the Jeep version 904, 999, and 727 have the AMC engine bolt pattern. He could use a 360 out of a Grand Wagoneer, they had the AMC engine until they quit making them in 90 or 91, if he's looking for a newer engine. It will bolt into his CJ. Any 1967+ AMC V8 will.
