cj7 tire sizes

I have a cj7 with 1.5" shackle lift and 32x11.5 bfg a/t tires on 15x8 rims. I'm in the market for a set of used mud tires since i just want something cheap before i do any serious mods. The 32's don't seem to rub, even when flexing offroad, and i've seen some nearly new 33" bfg muds for sale pretty cheap. Would these fit? Or should i just hold out for 32's? I've seen some 31's for sale too, but hey, they're smaller. Maybe i could throw on an ebay body lift for extra clearance?

If your springs are in decent shape, you may get away with it if there is no rubbing with the 32s you have now. There was an older guy around here that ran 33x12.5s on factory 8" wheels with no lift....he claimed they were okay, but I doubt he ever had it offroad. A friend of mine ran 33s with a Rancho 1" spring lift and small shackles but he rubbed in the front.
