Finally took the cover off the D44 I'll be putting in the front of my YJ. It's from a late model Wagoneer, driver's side diff and vacuum disconnect. I purposely sought out the vacuum disconnect because I'll be running a spool (or lincoln locker again) and it'll be nice to still be able to disconnect one axleshaft when in 4wd. Poor man's selectable locker if you will. This axle disconnects the driver's side shaft, where the D30 disconnects the pass. side shaft. There's actually less to the disconnect than on the D30.
