One of my wifes co workers had a bad death wobble in her 07 RHD YJ
after jacking it up I inspected all joints control arms ect
what I found really scared me .
Found all tie rod nuts about to come loose also all connections to steering linkage were the same way
This is a safety issue and should be recalled by Chrysler
what I did was torked all joints linkage ect to spec
then went back with a 1/8 drill bit drilled all studs and added cotter pins to prevent the nuts from coming loose again
after test driving I found I solved the wobble issue
the owner said the steering feels better than when she bought it new
was ready to do a track arm replacement but it was not necessary
I'm glad I caught this stuff before it came loose altogether with tragic results
SO I DO RECOMMEND ALL JK YJ TJ OWNERS TO DO:
Check your joints ,Tie rod ends ect tork them if needed drill and add cotter pins to all tie rod ends studs to prevent these nuts from backing out and all your joint studs in steering linkage :shades:
