Do I have a T18????

Well this weekend I was preparing to marry up my supposed T18 to my SBC. Novak claims this is fairly simple with a little machining to the retainer.

Well the transmission that I thought was a T18 doesn't have the Ford "butterfly" bolt pattern and it doesn't have the undrilled ears that Novak says you will need to drill out.

My transmission bolt pattern is more like this...

Passenger side bolt holes are approx 4.675 from top to bottom and the driver side holes are 2.75 from top to bottom. Kinda hard to explain.

What transmission do I have? The casting numbers on top state....13-01-065-906 with Borg Warner below them. On the passenger side of the case the numbers... H.7.78 with Q under that and 13-01-097-907 under the Q.

Is it my chevy bellhousing? The motor is a 327 out of a 68 Impala.

Thanks for any help!

Well I found a web site that showed a picture of my transmission.

It is the Jeep T18. So now how do I determine if it is a T18 or a T18A?

Is there a way to tell the gear ratio by spinning the input shaft?
