i have an 01 TJ and my front driveshaft rattles like hell i believe its mostly coming from the yoke but i want to replace the whole thing ... is there any other jeep front shaft that can replace it ? like an XJ shaft ???

An XJ shaft will bolt up, you just want make sure the length is the same.
It's likely your CV joint in the front shaft going bad. Pull the shaft before it ruins the front output bearings or breaks the whole transfer case.

no already replaced the front U joint thought that was it too .. old one wasnt even bad ... the slack is coming from the slip yoke/shaft right where they meet at the splines... but i've cleaned them both all the splines/grooves are great and when i greased it up really good it stopped the noise for a few days but you can move it considerably and hear it chatter at low speeds ... i had ment to pull it last month but never got around to it .. i have friday off from work so i'll go ahead and yank it out while i try to dig up a replacement shaft... i know that the vibration has cause the front pinon seal to leak like craZy
