FINALLY got a rear brake hose for the SOA

I've been driving around with my rear line capped off for a while now. The local hardware store JUST started making hydraulic hoses... I went and got 3 feet if 1/8" hydraulic hose made up... got the necessary adapters... and it will be goin on there soon

Because I have stuff hacked all over the place. My lines were rusted and broke into a willion pieces and I had to run new stuff here and there. I have no stock parts to work with. Plus this was only 10 bucks

Be careful on this one.
Hydraulic hose generally is not rated for brake fluid. It will likely eat up the hose from the inside out over time.
If you want to know for sure, tell me what kind of hose it is by brand and model. The model is stenciled in white the full length of the hose. I have some old hose catalogs right here that will tell if it is rated for brake fluid. The model will be something like C2AT or 6M3K if it is Gates hose.

From the flared lower portion of the ferrule I would say you have a Weatherhead or possibly Dayco hose. I may have the Weatherhead catalog. Let me know if you want me to look it up.

thank you for offering to look into that... i'll have to go back to the store and check to see what brand we're talkin. Good thinkin on that... I already installed it.. I can't seem to get brake pressure. I know there's nothing wrong up front, and I know that there is great pressure held up to the end of the new hose. but anything after that is questionable. I think I'm going to replace all the lines and cylinders back there.

another thing.. this was cut to length and crimped right at the hardware store, i'm not sure if that has any influence on what brand you think it is due to the ferrule.

I know it has the following layers... inner rubber, 2 double layers of steel wire, and the textured outter layer

according to weatherhead's compatibility chart, it holds up "fair" to brake fluid. it is a neoprene inner and outer lining
