Gas Mileage

I have a 79 CJ 5 with a 258 I6 that was swapped in before I bought it. I have replaced the old BDL carb with the MC 2500, did the Nutter bypass, and installed HEI ignition. Just curious what other CJ owners are getting for gas mileage with or without similar mods. Have heard of folks running Mopar fuel injection on the 258. Would like to see some feedback on reliability of this setup and the gas mileage.

Most CJs I've had ran around 15MPG....You might do a little better with the MC & the HEI. My "78 has a 258 with a Weber & TFI...I get 15-17 if I'm easy on it.
