Going axle shopping, brakes and other parts question

I am going to find either a Dana 60, 14 bolt, or Ford 9 this weekend in a junk yard. I might not rebuild this inside of it until later after it has been under the Jeep for a while (money).

If I am going to use disc brakes on one of these 3 axles, what will be the cheapest one to put disc brakes on? I know they will need calipers (from what?), brackets, lines, pads, etc (what else?) I am going to buy 2 new rims to fit that bolt pattern also.

And for future concern, when I get around to rebuild the axle...
What would be the cheapest axle for new gears, Detroit locker, bearings, and seals?

I am just trying to plan ahead. I know you are asking yourself why I just dont do it all at once..... POOR STUDENT that is why. So hopefully I can find one that will work for the time being.

There's a lot more info out there that google will find for ya. I heard over the weekend that you can gear the D60 lower than the 14bolt, if you want to go really low.

Seems like the 14bolt is all the rage around here with those installing full-size axles, not sure why.
