Howell efi question, running rich

Just installed system but after 2 minutes it runs rich. Idle to 1500 rpm stays smooth but after that the engine stumbles and rpm falls off. Timing doesnt change anything. I get code 45 running rich but i don't know hat to do. Don't know shere ckt. 412 is to ground it per service manuel. Maybe its the oxygen sensor ?

Does it have a MAP sensor? Hose (or wires) off the MAP or a bad one will do that.

MAP SENSOR, yes. Voltage within specs. Howell called yesterday, said to raise idle to 850, time at 8 or 9 degrees, lower fuel pressure from 14 PSI. Said they can burn me a new chip. Whatever that means

do what they say and if it doesn't work, try out their new chip. it goes in the control box
