Skinny Pedal

Here is a little info on the build. I'll let JayDub fill in the rest.

He had a long arm kit that kept failing. I'll let him describe the issues with it.

2004 Jeep TJ Rubicon
16" Front FOA Coilovers
14" Rear FOA Coilovers
4-5" Stretch
Aluminum Skids
Aluminum 3 link front, 4 link rear
PSC Hydro Assist
Skinny Pedal Big Brake and Steering Kit

I'm sure I am leaving some things out.

Here you go.

Its begun!!!

Take a listen at the great sounds of the previous kit!
Here is a great video of the play in the poly bushings.
More to come.

Jason......... Stay out of the EFFFFFFFFFFFing water! There was silt in the tank. If Lizards weren't bad enough. :bomb:

Then saw this in Jason's muffler.............. STAY OUT OF THE EFFFFFFing WATER!

I saw I had some wheels and tires for another project sitting around.

:D

Here is what we are really going for. 100" wheel base and a ride height like so. This will also get highlined.

Mods might want to move this to the Builds section, it really should be there, second, I like the wheel base for that tire size..

at that height, what are you going to be using for links? are you fabbing what I assume to be a 3 link front and 4 link rear? or will it be an off the shelf kit?

lasyly, what are the axle choices?

Got the axles all cleaned up today.

Flipped the brake brackets on the rear to get them out of the coilover's way.

Set the truss on for a visual. It will get tied into the new diff covers that are not on yet.
image-missing.png

The axles will also get a full length truss on the tubes.

I got the mock up control arms made. They are adjustable so you can set your joint position and then collapse the arm to find the right length.
image-missing.png

Tube clamp to secure arm length.

Adjustable lower.

Adjustable upper.

I will have to dimple the tub above the arm on the corner to clear at full bump.

I really like those mock up links. a lot more presice than the PVC tub ei use.

Thanks. They really let me dial everything in before I turn down the aluminum for the final links. They are really stout and allow me to twist up the axles for clearance.

Links will be 7075 Aluminum Cut to length and Machined to accept Johnny Joints. The entire build is 'repairing' the craptacular Full Traction kit I had on the Jeep before.

Axles are going to be heavily trussed Dana 44 (stock Rubicon) housings with Alloy shafts, CTM U-Joints, 30 Spline outers/Unit bearings.
