I have jeep 1991 yj wrangler and just had a 4" suspension lift + 3 " body lift and need better shackles? Don't know long long of shckles I need and are those Teraflex revolver shackles recommended!
also, will that make my ride a bit more soother?
also, what size and brand of stabilizer is good?
thanks

That's the setup I had on my 93. A 4" susp and 3" body. I ran the stock shackles for awhile, then went to a 1/2" of shackle lift. With those 4"lift springs it's okay to use up to a 1" shackle lift with out much trouble. If you decide to use a set that long, or go bigger, consider trimming or removing the front alignment wedges that probably came on your lift springs if the steering gets crazy. I ran a Skyjacker dual steering stabilizer on mine, it did it's job....I was happy.

The revolvers are a cool idea. If you lean towards the "flex is everything" way of thinking, then they might be for you. I don't have any experience with them.

What size tires are you running?

If you want stability, I would get a set of greaseable shackles stock length. Longer shackles will add more caster to your steering and only make any instability worse. The longer they are the worse it gets. A 1" lift shackle would be ok, but since you have 7" of lift I would just get a set stock length.

As for teraflex revolver shackles, if your Jeep is primarily used offroad they are great. Not the most stable setup for a daily driver.

For a smoother ride, the greaseable shackles will help a bit, but don't expect miracles. The main reason to upgrade to them would be for strength.

I got some revolver shackles for sale, I sold them on ebay but the guy never gave me the money. Let me know if you are interested. They are used but work fine.

Haven't had any problems with my revolver shackles. I've been taking them off road for over 3 years now with no problems.
