O2 Sensor override?

I put in an aftermarket Cat when I placed my exhaust on my 97 TJ Sport. The problem is that they was no spot in the Cat for the 02 sensor, and now I'm getting a "Check Engine" light. I know that for most performance cars, there is a cable that can be put in to override this... is such a product available for a jeep?

Thanks,

you bought a universal free flow converter?I would assume they sell one where you can retain the O2 sensor, you may want to check that out...

or maybe an exhaust shop can weld in threads in the exhaust pipe near the converter so you can screw in the sensor.

The O2 sensor on my 97 TJ fits upstream from the cat in the downpipe. You must have done a whole lotta cutting to cut that out of the system. Was the cat a direct fit?[addsig]

that sensor measures and tells the computer how lean or rich to make the fuel mixture. you need to find a spot in the exhause to put it. some place close to where it was.
