noob here, want to make sure that pennzoil synchromesh is good for the ax-15 in a 92 YJ, thanks.

i bought pennzoil synchro., now i've read that it's not recommended for the ax-15, use 75w90 gl-3 instead.

i'm confused?!

Pennzoil Synchro is great in an AX15 or an AX5. Another choice would be Redline MT90.

The original service manuals and owners manuals put out by Jeep, in addtiion to Haynes and Chilton's all said to use GL5. They are wrong, as GL5 is corrosive to the brass synchronizers in those transmissions. GL3 is what a Jeep dealer would use and works fine. Pennzoil Syncromesh is an organic product but is an upgrade from the GL3. Redline MT90 is fully synthetic and would probably be your best choice.

Ya, don't use the stuff that all the manuals reccomend. Like Twisted said, they screwed up.

You'll be fine with the Pennzoil Syncromesh.

RE: Video

I've been running it for 3 years.. I love the stuff. Made shifting great and I never have a problem with cold shifting
