Someone broke into my daddys' home and stole some things, including a Ruger Security Six in .357 magnum, and a heirloom .32 pistol from WWII. The .32 was my grandpa's. If any of you could help me with a list of used gun sites or keep an eye out for them I would be grateful. I'm in the South Georgia area, but the guns could show up anywhere. This happened on 1-20-09.

Man that ***ks. I will pass this around to a few of the guys I work with, they go to gun shows all the time.

gunbroker.com is a great site. It is like "eBay" for guns. Serial number are key. If you have the serial numbers and were able to provide them to the police department who took the report, those serial numbers should be entered, by them, into a stolen property system that is nation wide. There might even be a separate stolen firearm system. I would also check local pawn shops. A good pawn shop would take a copy of the drivers license and thumb print from anyone who ever tries to pawn anything, especially a firearm. Lastly a bit of hope. I am in law enforcement and a co-worker of mine had his off duty weapon stolen out of his home almost four years ago. About a month ago a Deputy we know from another agency located the firearm on a dirt bag gangster and the firearm was eventually returned to the rightful owner. Best of luck.

What model was the .32?

Don't know if any guns are sold on Craigslist, but that seems to be where a lot of stolen items are moved.

I'll have to get with my dad on the exact model of the .32, and I've been checking pawn shops and gunbroker.com. I haven't tried craigslist yet. The pawn shop thinks that since the security six is kinda rare it should show up.
Thanks for the info guys, I can only check this site here at the fire department my home computer crashed, it's not fixed yet. I'm here every third day, so I will post as I'm able.

32 look like these?

Yahoo! Image Search Results for colt 1903

These were issued to officers during WW2. It would probably be worth quite a bit if in good shape, although if it's an heirloom you really can't put a value on it. I hope you get them back.

Finally talked to dad, sorry only saw the pistol twice, .32 made in Spain, with MAB on the grips.
Inv. says it was probably a proffesional out of Savanah or Statesboro, little chance of recovery, he's been blamed for around 20 burglaries in this area.
Anybody in S. Ga be on the lookout
