im thinking of doing a soa conversion on my 88 sahara but i have a question. am i going to need to lengthen my drive shafts. i know i am going to buy spring perches, break lines, and shocks... anything else? thanks

You will need to convert your slip-yoke output from your transfer case to a fixed output (SYE) and replace your driveshaft with a longer one.

that's what you gotta do

you can always pick up a tj front shaft and have it shortened, a lot. they have cv joints and then your looking at the price of the kit for the soa, unless you make it yourself, and the price of the sye, which i found one on ebay and saved 100 bucks. it can be done on a budget for sure as snitty pointed out so good luck

My driveshaft is a front shaft from a 90 cherokee... i welded a piece of 2" pipe around the existing shaft... i welded it up.. ground it... painted it.. no vibes.. up to 60 mph so far
