Rebuilding a 2.5L

OK, I've been throwing around the idea of dropping a 350 in my '88 Wrangler, but recently been thinking about just rebuilding my 4 cyl. I have heard things here and there about what can be done to them to give them more torque.

So, lets get all these things together---what are they???

high torque cam and the recent rumor is that A, (one) hemi head will bolt directly onto the 2.5L if you bore it over a little, get some borla headers for it, increase the exhaust piping size, cold air intake, and feul injection if its carbuerated

if you can get your hands on an old and a new one for observational purposes, you could kind of outline the bolt patterns... ill have to see which one it is

i really don't see why you'd have to overbore the cylinders

Ya, that's what I was thinking. How would that change the location of the bolts on the block-connecting it to the head

 This is the first time I've heard of this. The overbore may be needed to clear the valves.
What else is involved? Coolant passages? valvetrain alignment? compression ratio?

im not sure of all the specs as far as alignment, ratio and coolant is concerned but yea the overbore is required to clear the valves

the valves still should not open far enough to hit the block.. especially in a hemi head, they are up there

why??? Drop a 4.0 in it. It fits and parts are easy to come buy.
if you're goin by that, then you might as well drop a 350 in it
