Seals Blow

I just lost the bottom seal of my steering box, and called to see if perhaps it was under warrenty. Of course the dealer said no (lift and all) and when I asked how much to fix it, was told that they do not replace the seals. They wanted 700 bucks for the box alone !!!!!!!!!

I decided to order the sael kit, and spent the 40 bucks, and soon all should be well...I'll keep you informed.

$700?? Heck that's about 1K cheaper then the Nissan box that is built by sagnaw. When they blow the lower seal out they are building too much pressure inside and can not be repaired. I hope that is not the case with yours.

I would say to check the retaining clip that holds the seal in place if it took a pretty good wack it might have just popped it off...
