tach lead wire

ok here is the problem my tach and speedometer dont work but i just was looking under the hood today and i seen a wire it says tach lead ok so know i know one problem but where does it go im not the best mechanic so any help would be great the jeep is a 87 jeep wrangler 4.2 6 cyl 5 speed trans i know the worst trans ever lol
