RE: Ideas for trailering a CJ7--sealed bearing in T-case?

sometimes my 258 misses...sometimes it doesn;t...the timing is good...

lastnight on the way home after droppin the engine for my motorcycle off...i noticed that it only misses when the headlights are on...this is not logical at all...it;s an 87 wrangler...anyone else have this issue...

i do notice that the parking lights come on when the brakes are applied aswell...

i figure i have a short somewhere...anyone ever see this issue?

i almost feel like a moron for even sayin i have this issue...how does the headlights effect the ignition...

alloy axle shafts

DO you have any aftermarket accessories? I'd tart with those... i've seeen where someone pulls power from the wrong circuit or grounds to a non-ground wire.

RE: Re: alloy axle shafts

I'm not much on electrical stuff--in fact I suck at it--but I do know that a short in the wiring can cause a miss in the engine. Actually, I don't think it's a miss so much as just a stutter. Had it happen to me in a couple of vehicles. Last week the battery in the YJ went south on my way home, and it got so bad that when I'd turn on the turn signal the engine would stutter a bit. I wish you the best of luck with your electrical problem....I wouldn't wish an electrical problem on my worst enemy! They really, really SUCK!!!

RE: Re: RE: Hate to bash, but....

seems i found it guys...the bonding strap from the engine to the chassis had come loose...tightened up and it ran great...thanks for the info...
