throw out bearing...part 1

So the jeep got back from the dealership where they replaced my throw out bearing under warrenty. Anywho, from the info gathered by you guys it was assumed to be the throw out bearing. They went and changed it(from what they told me). Now the noise is still there, nothing changed except for now my center consol area near the 4 wheel shift linkage gets really hot. Well on the work order paper they said, "still some noise. Is normal for this model jeep." So just wondering if anyone else has this problem. A noise comming from under when ya step on the clutch it goes away...if you ask me doesn't sound normal but sounds like dealership i dunno whats wrong. any other ideas?

I was thinking asking the service guy to start up a few for sale jeeps to see if they did it. but we'll see.

any ideas?

Uhhh, my throw out bearing is making all kinds of noise. I dont know how much longer I can go without getting it fixed. Kinda risking it right now I just dont want to do it. Big project.

are you positive that they changed it? ALWAYS tell them that you WANT the old part, that way you are more sure that they actually changed it

well, they told me they changed it, i looked under my jeep and i see some finger prints in the mud thats caked on the trans. I should have told 'em to save it. My clutch feels a little tighter, so i'm guessing they poked around in there. But the noise is not "normal" as he says is it?

Pitman Arm?

I've heard the rattle from the manual transmission in newer TJ's is very common.

as bounty just mentioned.... i DO recall my friend's TJ making noise... but never really going bad

well, just the fact that it started all of a sudden is what makes me worry somewhat. Bounty would that noise stop when the clutch is pressed? or all the time noise? maybe its just things settling in? i its got only like 8000 miles on it.
