Tire question...

Hey everyone...i want to say thank you for the response to my last post, everything ya'll told me to do straightened it out quite nicely. but now im in the market for new tires and wheels, and am contemplating two options. i want to know if theres a major difference between getting a 33x10.5 tire or getting a 33X12.5 tire. I have the 4.0, so its not like i dont have the torque to turn them, i was just wondering if there were advantedges/ disadvantedges to either choice. i would imagine the 10.5 would be easier to turn, but would i lose alot in say muddy traction situations? or soft sand? again thanks in advance...im getting so much great information here this is definately the place for me

By the way I will be getting the super swamper tsl radial, or the baja claw, still undecided, but any input on either tire choice is appreciated as well

the 10.50's will rub less on less lift and be a little easier on gas consumption (lighter and less wind resistance). The 12.50's are going to bulge better when aired down and overall be better offroad.

The Claw sucks in mud. The TSL Radial is a nice tire, but the 33x12.5 isn't nearly as aggressive as the 32x10.5, and I've got a set of both. The 33 has two solid center treadbars that run the circumference of the tire, with razor thin siping. The 32" has 1/4" grooves across the tire where the 33" has sipes, makes a huge difference in traction onroad and off. Both are a good tire, but the 32" is sweet.
