The US Border Patrol has partnered with Jeep Jamborees in order to find new Border Patrol Agents

Hey Jeep Jamboreers! We have an exciting announcement to make that will be a new element on many of our 2016 Jeep Jamborees.
The United States Border Patrol reached out to our organization and would like to partner with us in order to find candidates that would be a good fit to fill positions throughout their organization. They came to us with knowledge that our team members, Trail Guides and participants are some of the most knowledgeable and dedicated people in the off-road community, and that the type of participants we have at Jamborees are much like the quality people they are seeking to join their team.

“We're incredibly flattered by the recognition and are proud to be having them at selected Jamborees this year in areas where they have field offices in need of qualified applicants. They will be bringing agents on-site to meet with any interested participants or Trail Guides and we know that our groups provide the best of the best in terms of quality, commitment, loyalty and knowledge about off-road terrain”, states Jeep Jamboree USA, Vice President, Pearse Umlauf.

The United States Border Patrol is the mobile, uniformed law enforcement arm of U.S. Customs and Border Protection within the Department of Homeland Security and is responsible for securing the United States’ borders between ports of entry.

The United States Border Patrol is looking for individuals who enjoy the outdoors and are looking for a career in federal law enforcement.

The primary focus of the Border Patrol is to detect, apprehend, and/or deter terrorists and terrorist weapons from entering our country. As one of the most rigorous and demanding law enforcement training programs in the country, U.S. Border Patrol training has become the envy of the Federal law enforcement community.

“The United States Border Patrol and Jeep Jamboree have partnered up to recruit eligible candidates who enjoy working outdoors, care about the environment, and are looking for some adventure in a career as a Federal agent”, states Gabriel Acosta, Assistant Chief Patrol Agent, US Border Patrol.

Expect to see Border Patrol Agents on location at a majority of 2016 Jeep Jamborees to discuss careers in Federal law enforcement. On-site Border Patrol Agents will be able to answer questions regarding eligibility requirements, pay and benefits, and the many types of assignments and opportunities the United States Border Patrol has to offer.

Well, I recall seeing a jeep cherokee stuck on top of the border fence. Dont know how to bring the pic up, but maybe that gave our border patrol ideas.
