Where should I mount my amp?

If you off road any then it would be smart not to stick it under your seat. Behind the rear seat it really the best place and you could always make something to cover it up so no one can just look in and see it.

wat about instead of under the seat put it in the front set like upside down?

Im putting a system in mine and mine is a 97 and there is more than enough room under that seat.
i put mine under my seat one time, still cant get the burn marks out

I raised my rear seat with 1 1/4 square tubing, It made a lot of extra room under there!! I still like my sidewall hump cover-ups, I still haven't got a picture under them but there is a lot of room under them, I put a fan in front and in back to keep airflow on amp.

mount it in your garage, enjoy the loud music at home!.. if that doesn't work, the best, dryest, safest place is under or on the bottom of your console, if your amp is so big it gets real hot, install some vents and maybe some computer fans that you can wire to a temp sensor to come on auto when the amp is either on, or the console temp is too hot.. under the dash will get wet, anywhere in the interior will get wet, so, the console only makes sense..

I put my amp under the passenger seat in the tool box, wrapped in plastic just in case a freak flood comes along I'll still have tunes :/

I did finally get my amp mount in a way that I like. I used Skinny Pedal's TJ amp bracket to mount it up under the dash, above my brake pedals. There's a minimum amount of water in this spot, and it provides enough airflow for my Alpine PDX 1.600 (a mono channel 600 watt amp).

It's about the perfect spot for an amp inside of a Wrangler.
