Winch problem

Got a Warn XD 8000i. Haven't used it in about 2 years and was pulling a stump with it over the weekend. Reeled cable in fine, but got a clicking noise and it wouldn't let cable out under power (only if I free spooled the winch). Obviously a bad connection. Anybody got an idea where to go first. I'd rather not take it off and send it in if I don't have to.

Pull the solenoid cover off and clean all the electrical connections at the solenoids, controller, and motor.

It is a bad power out solenoid, the two with the green are power in so you will need to replace the other two, from what I could get out of warn you should replace both at the same time. Also you should not power out for long distance causes excessive heat on the braking system. I am not sure if you could find the switches at a local auto parts store or not, send an email to warn they will fix you up.

Thanks for the replys. I'll get to it when I can. Just looking for the right place to start taking the thing apart.
