I just purchased a 2004 Wrangler X. I keep getting asked it if is a CJ, TJ, or LJ. I can't find any documentation on the purchase papers that states this. I am a new jeep owner so I hope some don't think this is a real stupid question. First jeep also.

TJ from 1997- present
YJ from 1987-1995
CJ7 from 1976-1986 ( not sure on this)
CJ5 long time ago...........lol..
also XJ---cherokee
WJ grand cherokee
KJ liberty
LJ long TJ ( make these anymore?)
what else am i forgetting
oh ya and JK--4door.....thats my next purchase if they put a real motor in it

They went from the stout 4.0 to a 3.8L. Not sayin theirs anything wrong with the engine but they could of at least offered a small block v8

I thought the TJ stopped in 06..07 to present was JK 2 door or 4 door.

Yeah I think the new ones are JK's too.:) I'll stick with the CJ . . .3B that is.
My old YJ was made in Canada aye, are they even made in the US anymore?

Is anything made in the US anymore? just as well move to mexico or china

4-Door Wragler is built in Toledo, Ohio. .....and the 4.0L I believe had 195 HP the 3.8L has 202 HP. I liked the 4.0 but this engine seems to have enough to cut it.
