Interior light over-ride

I have a 97 tj and when you open the doors the interior lights come on. How do you override the door mechanism that makes the lights come on? I wanna take off my doors before it gets too cold![addsig]

On my 89 there was a wire that you can disconnect by the door. Look on the inside of the tub on the front side of the door. There should be a deal that pops out when the door is open, on the back there is a wire that should unplug. Hope this helps, Evan[addsig]

In the fuse box behind the glove box, pull FUSE #4.[addsig]
