How do I get the steering wheel off?

1973 super jeep id and '77 swap

I have a 81 CJ-7 and am in the process of changing steering wheels. I have removed all the bolts and this mother is stuck. It wont pull period. I did this once b4 on a Datsun 240Z and it was simple. What up? Commens suggestions anyone anyone........... :shock:

Once the center nut is removed, sometimes the fit between the steering wheel hub and the splined shaft is loose enough that you can just yank it off. If not, you need to buy or borrow a steering wheel puller.

You can pick up a steering wheel puller pretty cheep.

if you drive it TO autozone with the other steering wheel... they might just let you take the puller outside and use it... or may even come out to help
